I magine a world where bears and mice are told never to trust each other.
The bears believe mice are troublemakers. The mice are taught that bears are dangerous monsters. They live in separate worlds and avoid each other at all costs.

How was the movie made?
Ernest & Celestine is based on the beloved children's books by Belgian writer and illustrator Gabrielle Vincent.
Instead of using flashy computer graphics, the filmmakers wanted the movie to look almost exactly like the original picture books. They used delicate pencil sketches and soft watercolor backgrounds that make every frame look like a page from a storybook. The animation feels calm, warm and handmade.
