The Little Cloud Who Learned to Share

- Whenever the other clouds happily watered the fields, filled the rivers, and helped flowers bloom, Chotu would quietly float away…

H igh above the earth lived a little cloud named Chotu.
He wasn't the biggest cloud or the fluffiest one. In fact, he looked just like any other small, white cloud drifting across the sky.
But Chotu had one very unusual habit…
He never liked sharing his rain.
Whenever the other clouds happily watered the fields, filled the rivers, and helped flowers bloom, Chotu would quietly float away.
"Nope," he would say. "This rain is mine. Why should I give it away?"
The other clouds would sigh, but Chotu never changed his mind.
Then one summer, the sun became hotter than ever.
The fields turned dry and cracked.
The trees drooped sadly.
Birds searched everywhere for water.
Children stopped playing because it was simply too hot.
Even the animals looked tired.
From high above, Chotu watched everything.
But he still muttered,
"I feel bad… but I don't want to waste my rain."
Day after day, he kept collecting more and more water.
Soon he became rounder…
Then bigger…
Then much, much heavier.
He looked like a giant cotton balloon ready to burst.
One afternoon…
RUMBLE!
A loud clap of thunder escaped from inside him.
Chotu jumped in fright.
"Whoa! Was that… me?" he gasped.
Just then, an old silver cloud floated gently beside him.
It was Dada Cloud, the wisest cloud in the sky.
With a kind smile, Dada Cloud said,
"Chotu, when you keep everything to yourself, you don't become stronger."
He paused for a moment.
"You simply become heavier."
Chotu frowned.
"Really?"
"Take a look below," Dada Cloud replied.
Chotu looked down.
He saw children sitting quietly under a tree, wishing for cool rain.
He saw farmers staring sadly at their dry fields.
He saw birds with drooping wings and thirsty animals searching for water.
For the first time, Chotu truly understood how much everyone needed his help.
He took a deep, fluffy cloud-breath.
"Maybe… just a little rain," he whispered.
Slowly…
Softly…
Tiny raindrops began falling from the sky.
Drip… drip… drip…
Soon the gentle shower became a cheerful rain.
The dusty ground drank every drop.
The fields turned green again.
Flowers lifted their heads.
Birds sang happily.
Children rushed outside, laughing, splashing, and dancing in the rain.
The whole village came alive.
And something wonderful happened.
The more rain Chotu shared…
the lighter he felt.
Not just lighter in the sky-
lighter in his heart.
Dada Cloud smiled warmly.
"That's the magic of sharing," he said.
"You may think you're giving something away, but what you receive in return is far more precious."
Chotu smiled his biggest smile ever.
From that day on, whenever the earth needed rain, he never floated away.
He wasn't just a little cloud anymore.
He became everyone's favourite cloud-
the one with the kindest heart.
Moral
When you share what you have, you don't become smaller- you make the world brighter, and your own heart happier.
