India's Highest Waterfall Dudhsagar

When a river flowing through mountainous regions plunges onto the ground from a high cliff, it forms a waterfall. Waterfalls have several unique characteristics. The water crashing down from above possesses immense energy, which can be used to generate electricity.
There are several small and large waterfalls in India. Among them, the Dudhsagar Waterfall, located on the Mandovi River along the border of Goa and Karnataka, is one of the largest. Dudhsagar Waterfall plunges from a height of 1,070 feet and is 100 feet wide.
Situated in the Western Ghats mountain range, this waterfall is surrounded by a forest rich in natural beauty. The Mollem National Park and Bhagwan Mahavir Sanctuary are also located here. During the monsoon season, the beauty of this waterfall truly comes alive. A railway line passes over a bridge built right above the waterfall, giving train passengers a wonderful opportunity to witness its grandeur and unmatched beauty from their windows.
