Curious Boy Sunny

"Genie," he said, "build me a special machine. Whatever is put inside it should come out neatly packed inside a bottle."

O nce upon a time, there lived a curious boy named Sunny in a small village.
Sunny loved experimenting and inventing new things. The villagers admired him because he had created many useful machines, including calculators, electric lights and several other clever inventions.
One day, Sunny was experimenting with some chemicals in his little laboratory. By accident, he mixed two chemicals that were never meant to be combined.
Suddenly, thick smoke filled the room.
And out of the smoke appeared a strange-looking genie!
Sunny was terrified. He thought it was a demon.
"Please don't kill me!" he cried. "Please leave me alone. I won't harm you!"
The genie smiled kindly.
"Don't be afraid," he said. "I am not a demon. I am a genie."
Sunny felt a little relieved.
The genie continued,
"I love working. Tell me what you want me to do. But remember - if you ever fail to give me work, I will crush you!"
Sunny was shocked. Although he was no longer afraid of the genie, his warning worried him. He quickly tried to think of something.
"Build me a machine that can count money in seconds!"
The genie snapped his fingers and got to work.
Before Sunny could even blink, the genie sang happily,
"It's done! It's done! Done, done!"
Sunny sighed with relief. At least he had bought himself a little time.
Then he quickly gave another order.
"Now make me a machine that can do anything I ask it to do."
Once again, the genie completed the task in no time and sang his cheerful song.
Excited, Sunny took his amazing inventions to show his parents.
His parents and the villagers were astonished.
"Wonderful!" they exclaimed. "Sunny is truly a brilliant inventor!"
But as soon as Sunny returned home, the genie appeared again.
"What's my next job?" he asked eagerly.
No matter what Sunny asked him to make, the genie finished it within moments and immediately demanded another task.
Sunny realised that if this continued, he would soon run out of things for the genie to do - and then the genie would keep his frightening promise.
He had to think of a clever plan.
At last, an idea struck him.
"Genie," he said, "build me a special machine. Whatever is put inside it should come out neatly packed inside a bottle."
The genie smiled.
"In a moment!"
As always, the machine was ready almost instantly.
Sunny examined it carefully.
"It looks perfect," he said. "But before I use it, could you please test it? Put this piece of paper inside and show me how it works."
The genie happily leaned forward and reached for the paper.
That was exactly what Sunny had been waiting for!
With one quick push, he tipped the genie into the machine.
Whoosh!
Out came a tightly sealed bottle - with the genie safely trapped inside!
Sunny smiled with relief.
His clever plan had saved him.
Later, he proudly showed all his inventions to his parents and the villagers.
Everyone praised Sunny, not only for being a brilliant inventor but also for using his intelligence to solve a difficult problem.

Wisdom is not just about knowledge. It also means using intelligence, imagination and creativity to solve problems.
