The Maglev Train Running 3 Inches Above the Ground

The Maglev Train: Running 3 Inches Above the Ground It is a well-known fact that like poles of two magnets repel each other while opposite poles attract. Engineers have used powerful magnets to run a train that stays three inches above the ground. This is called the "Maglev" train.

Instead of traditional tracks, these trains use a "Guideway" fitted with magnetic coils. There are also magnets at the bottom of the train cars. The magnetic poles are arranged so that the train repels the track and floats three inches high. When electricity flows through the coils on the track, the magnetic poles change rapidly. This creates a continuous cycle of attraction and repulsion that pushes the train forward.

Because the train stays above the track, there is no friction. This allows it to travel at speeds of 500 kilometers per hour. Additionally, the train runs without making any noise. Germany and Japan have conducted extensive testing and use of these trains.
