After the Earth was formed, many changes took place. Over millions of years, plants and animals emerged. No one witnessed this, but scientists study the development of Earth by examining fossils and rocks found during excavations. Scientists have divided the timeline of development into different stages. Among these, the Jurassic Era is significant and exciting because massive dinosaurs roamed the Earth during this time.

Information about dinosaurs was first discovered through the study of fossils found under the Jura Mountains in the Alps of Europe. The "Jurassic Era" was named after these mountains. During this era, the Earth’s landmass was a single continent called Pangea. This continent later split into Laurasia in the north and Gondwana in the south, with an ocean forming in between. Due to heavy rainfall on both continents, dense forests grew, creating a favorable environment for giant animals like dinosaurs. The first birds and massive sea creatures also appeared during this time. In 1975, a scientist named Abraham Gottlob named this period "Jurakalk." This era is highly important as it saw the greatest development of living organisms.
