Amidst the gala time of Janmashtami festivities, a tragic event unfolded involving three individuals from Rajkot. In 24 hours, three individuals from the same city, although at different locations, died of heart attacks on Sept 8.

The first of the unfortunate incidents took place during Janmashtami celebrations near old marketing yard in Rajkot. Jatin Sarvaiya, a 25-year-old individual, suddenly encountered severe chest pain. Following that, he was immediately rushed to Rajkot Civil Hospital, where the doctors pronounced him dead.

Two similar incidents reported from Jetpur

In a separate incident in Jetpur, another individual faced the same fate. 26-year-old Vijay Meghnarthi died of a heart attack at his residence in the Panchvati area.

Later in the evening, a young woman cherishing the festivities at Lok Mela (fair) in Jetpur, also died of a sudden heart attack.

According to initial reports, 26-year-old girl Anjana Bhupat Gondalia was sitting on the giant wheel ride and later experienced a sudden heart attack after stepping out of the ride.

The girl was immediately shifted to the hospital, where the doctor declared her demise. According to reports, she was recently betrothed.

The sudden heart attacks among youngsters like this trio suggest an alarming situation with cardiac problems in the state.

According to a recent report on the number of patients admitted to private and government hospitals with cardiac problems, more than 10 people every hour face cardiac problems on average in Gujarat.
