The prime minister will unveil projects worth ₹4,500 cr in Bodeli

Prime minister Narendra Modi in his visit to Gujarat on Sept 26-27 will inaugurate multiple development projects amounting to ₹5,206 cr in the Chhota Udepur district. 

This initiative includes the launch of projects worth ₹1,426 cr and the completion of projects worth ₹3,079 cr. 

He will also initiate Village Wi-Fi facilities, extending its reach to 7,500 villages across 22 districts, benefiting approximately 20 lakh beneficiaries. This endeavor has been allocated ₹60 cr for its implementation.

Other than educational, the PM will inaugurate projects worth ₹277 cr under the Roads and Buildings Department, ₹251 cr under the Urban Development Department, and ₹80 cr under the Water Supply Department.


Prime minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to make a visit to his home state of Gujarat on Sept 26-27, during which he is expected to inaugurate a slew of projects valued at ₹4,500 cr in the education sector.

Additionally, he will address a public gathering in the tribal town of Bodeli, Chhota Udepur.

Earlier, PM Modi was supposed to arrive at Sept 27-28, now, the dates have been preponed to Sept 26-27.

PM in Ahmedabad

To celebrate 20 years of the Vibrant Gujarat Summit, the prime minister will visit Science City, Ahmedabad, on Sept 27. Back in 2003, the first Vibrant Gujarat Summit was organised at Tagore Hall in Ahmedabad.

Educational initiatives to be unveiled

Furthermore, PM Modi is set to launch several new education-related initiatives in Gujarat, including Swami Vivekananda Gyan Shakti Residential Schools, Raksha Shakti Schools, Mukhya Mantri Gyan Setu Merit Scholarship, and Mukhya Mantri Gyan Sadhna Merit Scholarship.

Vinod Rao, the secretary of primary and secondary education said that the prime minister will inaugurate or lay the foundation for projects amounting to ₹4,500 cr in Bodeli. These projects encompass the construction of new classrooms, smart classrooms, and computer labs across the state.

Under the Mission Schools of Excellence project, an allocation of ₹10,000 cr over the next five years is aimed at covering all 35,133 government and 5,847 grant-in-aid schools. 

The project is expected to directly benefit nearly one crore students in the next five years. This funding will be utilised to build 50,000 new classrooms, establish 1.5 lakh smart classrooms, create 20,000 new computer labs, and set up 5,000 tinkering labs in over 41,000 government and grant-in-aid schools throughout the state.
