Dr Hasmukh Adhia appointed as the chairman of GMDC, GACL
Retired IAS officer Dr Rajiv Kumar Gupta has been appointed as the director general of the Gujarat Institute of Disaster Management (GIDM)

The Gujarat government has given additional appointments and has re-appointed some of the officials.
Dr Hasmukh Adhia, advisor to the CM and a retired IAS officer, has been appointed chairman and director of Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Limited (GACL), Vadodara, and Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation Ltd (GMDC), Ahmedabad, with immediate effect.

While, the retired IAS officer Dr Rajiv Kumar Gupta has been appointed as the director general of the Gujarat Institute of Disaster Management (GIDM).
Retired IAS PK Taneja's services terminated
In the past, the state government had appointed chief minister’s advisor SS Rathore, a retired bureaucrat, as the chairman of the Gujarat Maritime Board (GMB). Dr Gupta has been appointed to the post at GIDM after a long period. He replaced IAS officer PK Taneja who retired from the post.
Retired IAS Lalit Padalia appointed for one year
Retired IAS Lalit Padalia of the 2003 batch has been appointed on a contract basis for one year as secretary (Appeals) and officer on special duty of the Revenue Department by the state government. Further, as per the orders of the Revenue Department, NR Dubey of the Gujarat Administrative Service will replace TJ Vyas, who was serving as general manager of the Gujarat Tourism Corporation.
Retired IAS Pankaj Kumar is likely to become RERA chairman
The posting of the retired IAS officer and former chief secretary of the state Pankaj Kumar is likely. The post of chairman of the Gujarat Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) has been vacant since November 2022, after the tenure of retired IAS Amarjeet Singh ended. Kumar may be appointed to this post, according to the sources in the secretariat.
The state government has made political appointments in three public enterprises, but interestingly, it has only reappointed the retired officials.
