The Seed - Who Believed
- The other seeds stayed quiet, but Sunny kept worrying. Then one morning, he felt something strange-his tiny shell cracked, and a small green shoot appeared.
Jannie : Long ago, in a quiet garden, there was a little seed named Sunny. All the other seeds around him were confident. They would often say,
"We will grow into tall trees!"
"We will have beautiful flowers!" But Sunny was small and shy. He whispered to himself,
"I am too tiny. Maybe I'll never grow. Maybe I'll stay a seed forever."
One day, the wise old Gardener came. He dug small holes in the soil and gently placed each seed inside, including Sunny.
As Sunny sank into the dark soil, he felt scared.
"It's so dark here! I can't see the sun anymore. What if I never come out?" he cried.
The soil hugged him and whispered softly,
"Don't be afraid, little seed. This is where growth begins."
Days passed. The other seeds stayed quiet, but Sunny kept worrying. Then one morning, he felt something strange-his tiny shell cracked, and a small green shoot appeared.
Sunny gasped, "What's happening to me?"
The soil said, "You are growing!"
Sunny pushed and pushed. At first, it was hard. Rocks blocked his way. Sometimes water made the soil heavy. Sunny wanted to give up. "This is too hard. I'll never reach the sun."
But then he remembered the Gardener's gentle hands and voice:
"Every seed has the power to grow, if it just keeps trying."
So Sunny pushed a little more each day. Slowly, he broke through the soil and felt the warm sunshine on his tiny leaves. "Ohhh! The sun! The sky! The fresh air!" Sunny cheered.
As days turned into weeks, Sunny grew taller. Birds sat on his branches, butterflies danced around him, and children played in his shade.
Sunny smiled and thought,
"I was once just a small seed who was afraid. But I kept trying, and now I've become a strong tree."
Moral
Everyone starts small, just like Sunny the seed. But if we believe in ourselves and keep trying-no matter how dark or hard things feel-we can grow into something amazing.
