The Rainy Day Race
- "Yes! Victory!" he shouted, pumping his fist. "You owe me your last chocolate bar!"

I t had been raining all morning, and Aarav was bored out of his mind. He sat by the window, watching raindrops slide down the glass like tiny racers. School was cancelled, and his much-awaited football match had been postponed. Ugh. What a dull day.
Just then, his little sister Tara burst into the room with a grin.
"Let's race!" she announced excitedly.
"In the rain?" Aarav raised an eyebrow.
"No, silly!" she laughed. "Raindrop racing! Pick your drop, and let's see which one wins!"
They each chose a fat drop at the top of the windowpane.
"Mine's faster!" Aarav declared.
"No way! Mine's zooming ahead!" Tara giggled.
The two leaned in, eyes wide, as the drops slid, paused, merged with others, and zig-zagged down the glass. Aarav's drop pulled ahead, but then Tara's took the lead. It was oddly thrilling!
Finally, Aarav's raindrop reached the bottom first.
"Yes! Victory!" he shouted, pumping his fist. "You owe me your last chocolate bar!"
Tara groaned. "Fiiine! But only if we go best out of five!"
By the time their mom called them for lunch, they had forgotten all about being bored.
The rain kept pouring outside, but inside, the house was filled with laughter, playful teasing, and the joy of the silliest little race.
