- Viththalani Pallavi Hemalkumar

O nce there lived an artist, joyful and bright,

He painted nature from morning till night.

With colors so vivid and brushes so neat,

He captured the scenes so pure and sweet.

One fine evening, soft and calm,

He entered the forest, filled with charm.

By a shady tree, he sat with care,

Painting the river, sky, and air.

The river sang with a gentle sound,

Birds flew gracefully all around.

The sun was setting, the sky glowing red,

The artist smiled as new visions spread.

But suddenly, right before his eyes,

A lion appeared - what a surprise!

The artist froze, his heart full of fear,

The mighty lion had come so near.

The lion spoke, with a royal tone,

"Don't be scared, you're not alone.

I won't harm you, have no fright,

But paint my picture, make it right."

The clever artist, sharp and smart,

Quickly planned a way to depart.

He smiled and nodded, hiding his dread,

"Yes, Lion King, your wish will be fed."

He asked the lion to sit afar,

"I'll paint you best from where you are.

But for the painting to come alive,

Please turn around and do not dive.

Face the other way, stay just so,

Till I tell you, don't turn or go."

The lion agreed, eager and vain,

Dreaming of his portrait again and again.

While the lion sat still, proud and grand,

The artist quietly fled from the land.

On silent toes and breath held tight,

He ran from danger, out of sight.

The lion waited, as night grew deep, Still facing away, half asleep.

He finally asked, "Is it done yet?"

But only silence is what he met.

Turning around, he saw no trace,

The artist had vanished without a face.

The lion roared in anger loud,

Echoing deep into the forest crowd.

"No painting, no food, all gone in air,

That clever artist - he wasn't fair!"

But the artist, safe and free that day,

Used his wit to slip away.

Smart and timely, brave and spry, He saved himself - oh my oh my!
