- "Maybe the colors are upset. We stopped appreciating them… "

Dhruvi Parikh

I n a big, busy city lived a girl named Tara. She had many friends. Together they played, drew, and loved watching the sky and stars.

Tara especially loved colors.

Her drawing books, her room walls - everything was filled with butterflies, flowers, rainbows, and stars.

But slowly, things began to change.

A new visitor named Mr. Phoney came into their lives.

Mr. Phoney was a shiny gadget, full of videos and games.

Tara and the other children started spending more and more time with him.

Now, nobody went to the garden.

Nobody looked at butterflies, skies, or flowers anymore.

Far away from the city was a magical world called Paletteville, where all the colors lived.

Red, Blue, Green, Yellow - each had their own homes, their own festivals, and one important job:

To paint the world every day. But the colors were sad. No one seemed to notice them anymore.

So, they called for a meeting.

Green cried,

"No one comes to the park. I feel invisible."

Red and Blue sighed,

"People don't look at us anymore."

Yellow said,

"Let's stop coloring the world. No one thanks us or even sees us."

And they all agreed.

The next morning, when Tara woke up, everything around her was grey.

Her books, her walls, the sky, the trees, even the flowers - all had lost their colors.

Frightened, she ran to her mother.

"Why is everything grey, Mama?" she asked.

Her mother replied, "Maybe the colors are upset. We stopped appreciating them… and now everyone is too busy with Mr. Phoney."

Tara felt a deep sadness.

"I don't like a world without colors," she whispered.

She gathered all her friends.

Together, they made a big card that said:

"Dear Colors, We are sorry. Please come back. We don't like a world without you."

When the colors saw the card, their hearts softened.

They smiled and said,

"Let's forgive them."

That very day, the colors returned and painted the world again. The sky turned blue. The trees turned green. The flowers glowed with red, yellow, and pink.

Tara and her friends cheered - and this time, they remembered to look up.

Moral

Don't let Mr. Phoney (phones) steal your colors.

Always appreciate the beautiful world around you.
