ગૂગલે ફરી એકવાર પ્લે સ્ટોરેમાંથી 240થી વધુ મોબાઇલ એપ્લિકેશનોને બ્લોક કરી છે. આ તમામ એપ્લિકેશનો એન્ડ્રોઇડ સ્માર્ટફોન પર ચાલે છે. આવી સ્થિતિમાં, જો આ એપ્લિકેશનો તમારા ફોનમાં છે, તો તમે તેને શક્ય તેટલી વહેલી તકે ડિલીટ કરી નાખો, જેથી તમારા સ્માર્ટફોનની સાથે, તમે પણ દરેક રીતે સલામત રહી શકો. ગૂગલે આ કાર્યવાહી કરી છે કારણ કે આ 240 એપ્સ યુઝર્સને વિવિધ પ્રકારની બિનજરૂરી જાહેરાતો બતાવતી હતી અને ગૂગલના નિયમોનું ઉલ્લંઘન કરતી હતી.

ગૂગલની સુરક્ષા ટીમે આ એપ્લિકેશનો સામે કાર્યવાહીનો માર્ગ સાફ કર્યો અને ત્યારબાદ આ એપ્લિકેશનોને બ્લોક કરવામાં આવી છે. આમાંની મોટાભાગની એપ્લિકેશંસ જૂની રમતો સહિત RAINBOWMIX ગ્રુપની છે. આ જૂથની એપ્લિકેશન્સની દરરોજ 1.4 કરોડ લોકોની પહોંચ હતી અને પેકર સોફ્ટવેર દ્વારા તેઓ દરરોજ 1.5 કરોડ લોકોને વિવિધ પ્રકારની જાહેરાતો પહોંચાડતા હતા.

યુઝર્સને થઈ રહી હતી પરેશાની
ગૂગલે યુઝરને ચેતવણી આપી છે કે RAINBOWMIX જૂથની એપ્લિકેશનો શક્ય તેટલી વહેલી તકે તેમના Android સ્માર્ટફોન પરથી કાઢી નાખે. આ ગ્રુપ લાંબા સમયથી ગુગલના નિયમોનું ઉલ્લંઘન કરી રહ્યુ હતું, અને ગૂગલ દ્વારા આ મોટી કાર્યવાહી ત્યારે પ્રકાશમાં આવી છે જ્યારે White Ops સંસ્થાની મદદથી સંશોધનકારોએ આ કૌભાંડનો પર્દાફાશ કર્યો હતો. વાસ્તવમાં, જ્યારે યુઝર્સને અનિચ્છનીય એપ્લિકેશનથી મુશ્કેલી આવી રહી હતી, ત્યારે તેના ફોનની સ્પીડ પણ પ્રભાવિત થઈ રહી હતી. આવી સ્થિતિમાં, ગૂગલે આ એપ્લિકેશન્સને બ્લોક કરવાનું યોગ્ય માન્યું.
