What is Green Energy? .

Vehicles, factory machines, and chemical industries all need power to run. Cars use petrol to create energy, and electricity is often made by burning coal. To get power, we need heat, and heat is created when something burns.
However, burning things creates carbon dioxide and other gases. These gases damage the ozone layer and increase the Earth's temperature—this is called pollution. Scientists are now looking for fuels that do not cause pollution. Examples include:
• Solar power
• Windmills
• Ocean waves
• Biofuels made from plants
These sources are called Green Energy because they do not pollute the environment.
