The Watchman's Condition .

- They realized that the watchman was actually God who had come to guide and test them. After that day, the watchman was never seen again.

O nce upon a time, there was a girl named Lisha who was very lazy and rude to others. She never completed her classwork or homework on time. Her teacher would often scold her, but Lisha never listened. One day, a new girl named Nina joined Lisha's class. She introduced herself to everyone. Nina was also very lazy and rude. She too never completed her work or homework properly. Soon, Lisha and Nina became best friends. The teacher also scolded Nina many times and told her not to speak rudely to others, but she too did not listen. This continued for many months.
One day, the teacher announced that the students would be going on a school trip to Lakhota Lake. Everyone became very excited. The students went home and immediately started packing their bags. The next morning, they all came to school happily.
The teacher instructed the students, "Students, make a line and go inside the bus according to your seat numbers."
Everyone entered the bus and sat properly. Soon, they reached Lakhota Lake. The students quickly ran towards the park. The teacher told them, "You all can play for thirty minutes in the park. After that, we will visit the fish aquarium, museum, and other places."
The students happily started playing. After thirty minutes, the teacher called out, "Students, time is over. Come now, we will leave."
All the students returned except Lisha and Nina. The teacher called them twice, but they ignored her and refused to come back. Finally, the teacher had to leave with the other students. Before leaving, she handed a paper to a watchman and said, "Please keep an eye on those two girls. This paper has written details about where we will be at different times. When they ask for help, please give this paper to them."
The watchman agreed.
After some time, Lisha looked around and said worriedly, "Nina, I think we have been playing for too long. Our teacher has left us here."
Nina replied nervously, "I know, but now we can do nothing. We are lost."
Both the girls started crying.
Just then, the watchman came near them and said, "I know where your teacher is. I can tell you, but only on one condition."
The girls quickly replied, "Yes, please tell us!"
The watchman said, "You both must score above 90% in your exams. Otherwise, you will not be able to enjoy any picnic next year."
The girls immediately agreed. The watchman then gave them the paper. Using the instructions written on it, Lisha and Nina safely reached their teacher and later returned home.
But as soon as they reached home, they forgot all about the watchman's condition. When the exams came, they remembered that they had to score above 90%, yet they still did not study seriously. Finally, when the results were announced, both of them scored only 53%.
Still, they were happy because they had passed.
The next year, the teacher announced another picnic. This time the class was going to Junagadh, which was Lisha's and Nina's favourite tourist place. The girls became very excited. But sadly, both of them suddenly fell sick and could not go on the picnic.
Then they remembered the watchman's condition.
They finally understood the importance of hard work and discipline.
The following year, both girls studied very hard. They completed their homework regularly, listened carefully in class, and worked sincerely for their exams. This time, both of them scored above 90% marks and enjoyed the school picnic happily.
That same night, both girls saw a strange dream. In the dream, the same watchman appeared before them and said, "I knew that one day you both would work hard and score good marks. I had made you fall sick earlier because I wanted to test you. And now you both have passed the test."
The girls were shocked.
They realized that the watchman was actually God who had come to guide and test them. After that day, the watchman was never seen again.
Lisha and Nina completely changed their habits. They worked harder than ever before, spoke politely to everyone, respected their teachers, and eventually became the top students in their class.
Moral:
Always work hard and score well. Talk politely to your friends and family, and always respect your teachers. God may come to test us in many ways, and we should try our best to pass every test.
