The Treasure Beneath the Soil .

- ‘I have buried a treasure somewhere in our field. nfortunately, I do not remember the exact spot.’
O nce there lived an old farmer who owned a large piece of land in a village. He worked tirelessly on his fields and supported his family through his hard labor. However, he had three sons who were extremely lazy. They refused to help their father and spent their days wandering around aimlessly. They neither understood their responsibilities nor cared about their ageing father.
The old farmer grew increasingly worried about his sons. He knew that one day he would no longer be around to take care of them. Soon, as fate would have it, he fell seriously ill and became too weak to work in the fields. Lying on his bed, he thought deeply about how he could teach his sons an important lesson before it was too late.
One day, he called his sons to his bedside and said, "My sons, I have buried a treasure somewhere in our field. Unfortunately, I do not remember the exact spot. I am very ill and may not live much longer. After I am gone, I want all three of you to dig the entire field and find that treasure."
A few days later, the old farmer passed away.
After his death, the sons remembered what he had said about the hidden treasure. Excited by the thought of becoming rich, they decided to search for it. For the first time in their lives, they worked hard. From morning till night, they dug every corner of the field, turning the soil again and again. Days passed, but they could not find any treasure. Disappointed and frustrated, they began to feel that their father had deceived them.
However, since the field had already been thoroughly dug, they decided to sow seeds in it. They waited patiently for the rains, and in time, the field produced a rich and abundant harvest.
Looking at the golden crops swaying in the wind, the eldest brother finally understood the truth. He said, "Our father did not lie to us. The treasure he spoke of is this very harvest. He wanted us to give up our laziness and learn the value of hard work. This is the reward of our effort."
The other brothers agreed. From that day onward, they never wasted their time again. They worked diligently, took care of their land, and lived happily and responsibly ever after.
