I n a small village lived a boy named Vansh. He was known as a quiet child. He spoke little, but he listened carefully and observed everything around him.

While other children ran across the fields, competing to prove who was the fastest or strongest, Vansh often preferred to sit quietly under the old banyan tree near the river. From there he would watch the flowing water, the birds flying overhead, and the life of the village unfolding before him.

People sometimes wondered what the boy was thinking. But Vansh simply liked to understand things before acting.

One summer, a terrible drought struck the village.

The wells slowly dried up. The crops in the fields began to wither. Farmers looked helplessly at the cracked earth. Day by day, worry spread among the villagers.

Some people blamed the weather. Others argued about what should be done. Many waited and hoped that help would come from somewhere outside the village.

But Vansh quietly observed the situation.

During one of his walks near the rocky hill outside the village, he noticed something unusual. Hidden behind thick bushes, a narrow stream was still flowing gently. It was small, but the water was clear and steady.

Vansh realized that this stream might save the village.

Instead of making loud announcements or giving speeches, Vansh quietly gathered a few of his friends.

"Come with me," he said simply.

He led them beyond the rocky hill and showed them the hidden stream. The boys immediately understood what Vansh had in mind.

Together they began clearing a small path from the stream toward the fields. They removed stones, cut through bushes, and dug a narrow channel in the dry soil so the water could slowly flow toward the village.

The work was not easy.

The sun was hot, the ground was hard, and their hands grew tired. Some villagers watched them and shook their heads.

"It will never work," they said.

But Vansh did not argue with them. He simply continued working.

Day after day, he and his friends patiently dug the channel a little farther.

Finally, one afternoon, something wonderful happened.

He was happy knowing that his actions had helped the village.
