H ello, Jingle Jingle Cutie Champs! Remember the story 'The Mischievous Trio' from our June 28, 2025 issue? It was written by Riya Barot. It was about three best friends-a cat, a dog, and a parrot-who got into some playful trouble. Their adventure was funny, but taking something that isn't yours is a big no-no, right?
We asked YOU to write what should happen next to teach the trio a friendly lesson. You sent us so many wonderful endings! After reading them all, we picked one special story to share with everyone.
First, let's remember what our mischievous friends did:
In a small village, three best friends named Pinku the cat, Raja the dog, and Meenu the parrot decided that Raja needed a king's crown. They planned to borrow the village chief's shiny turban. Meenu the parrot distracted everyone by copying voices, while Pinku the cat sneaked inside. Raja stood guard and barked when the chief returned, giving them just enough time to escape with the prize and laugh about their adventure. So, what happened when the chief discovered his turban was missing? Did Pinku, Raja, and Meenu learn their lesson?

After their mischievous adventure, Pinku, Raja, and Meem were basking in their victory-until the village chief's wife, Shanta Devi, discovered her missing turban. Furious, she marched to the fields where the trio was celebrating.
"Thieves!" she scolded, hands on her hips. "That turban is a family heirloom! Return it at once!" The friends froze. Raja's ears drooped, Pinku's tail tucked between his legs, and Meem hid behind a bush. Shanta Devi's stern gaze softened as she noticed their guilt. "Fun is fine, but stealing? That's wrong," she said firmly. The trio apologized and returned the turban. As punishment, Shanta Devi tasked them with helping her in the garden for a week-watering plants, chasing away pests, and gathering mangoes. At first, they grumbled, but soon, they enjoyed the work. Pinku napped in the shade, Raja dug neat holes for seeds, and Meem sang to the plants.
By week's end, Shanta Devi smiled. "You've learned your lesson. True friends use their cleverness for good, not mischief."
The trio nodded, wiser and happier. From then on, they became the village's helpful trio-playing pranks only to make others laugh, never to steal.
