The Meaning of a Friend .

- “We plant trees because they help us. They protect us from the hot sun, give us oxygen, and make our surroundings beautiful.”
- Rohit Panjwani
Once upon a time, in the busy city of Ahmedabad, lived a little girl named Aaradhika. She was ten years old—curious, kind, and always eager to learn new things.
One sunny afternoon, Aaradhika sat beside her Maa and asked thoughtfully,
“Maa, what is a friend?”
Maa smiled and asked gently,
“Aaradhika, have you ever seen a tree?”
“Yes, Maa!” Aaradhika replied happily.
“I love trees. They give us shade, and the air feels cool and fresh near them.”
Maa nodded and said,
“That’s right. We plant trees because they help us. They protect us from the hot sun, give us oxygen, and make our surroundings beautiful.”
Then Maa continued softly,
“A true friend is just like a tree. A friend helps us grow, supports us during difficult times, and gently stops us from doing wrong things.”
Aaradhika thought for a moment. Then her face brightened with joy. She hugged her Maa tightly and said,
“Then Maa, you are also my friend!”
Maa laughed warmly and hugged her back.
“Yes, my dear. And you are my friend too.”
Moral of the Story
A true friend is someone who supports, guides, and cares for us—just like a tree that gives shade and strength.
