The Find Your Vibe Challenge .

- Ravi Ila Bhatt
In the heart of Bengaluru’s tech hub, a startup called NitroCode was buzzing. They had a team of 30 Gen-Z developers and designers—absolute firebrands who worked hard and partied harder. However, the CEO, Ms. Kapur, noticed that while they were talented, they were becoming "silos." Everyone was so focused on their own KRA (Key Result Areas) that the team spirit was lagging.
One Monday, instead of the usual "stand-up" meeting, they were told to head to a nearby gaming café that had been completely decked out.
Level 1: The Personal Tag
The hall was filled with neon lights and hundreds of uninflated balloons. Ms. Kapur handed everyone a permanent marker. "Pick a balloon, blow it up, and write your Instagram handle on it. But be careful—if it pops, you’re out."
There was a lot of laughing and a few loud pops as people got too aggressive. In the end, 25 people successfully had their "tags" floating in the room. All the balloons were then gathered and tossed into a smaller, dark "Escape Room" nearby.
Level 2: The Solo Hustle
"Alright," Ms. Kapur announced. "Here is the challenge: You have 10 minutes. Go into that room and find the balloon with your own handle on it. If you pop a balloon, everyone fails. Go!"
It was pure chaos. People were diving into the pile, pushing each other aside, and frantically squinting at markers in the dim light. Everyone was so stressed about finding their tag that they were accidentally kicking others' balloons away.
Ten minutes passed. Results? Zero. Not a single person found their own balloon. They came out sweaty, frustrated, and complaining that it was "impossible."
Level 3: The Crowd-Sourced Win
Ms. Kapur smiled. "Okay, let’s try this differently. Go back in. This time, just pick up the first balloon you touch. Look at the handle, find that person, and hand it to them."
The team walked back in.
Rohan picked up a balloon: "@Sneha_Draws." He handed it to Sneha.
Sneha picked up "@TechGuru_Ishan." She passed it to Ishan.
Ishan found "@Rohan_Codes."
Within 2 minutes, every single person was standing with their own balloon.
Ms. Kapur gathered them around. "This is exactly how our workspace should be," she said. "In Level 2, you were all looking for your own 'success' and ignoring everyone else. You wasted 10 minutes and got nowhere."
"In Level 3, you focused on helping the person next to you. And because everyone did that, you all got what you needed in record time. Real problem-solving isn't about the solo hustle; it's about the ecosystem."
Moral :
Happiness is like those balloons. If you spend your whole life looking only for your own, it’s hard to find. Collaboration is a cheat code. If you help enough people get what they want, you’ll find that you get everything you need much faster.
