So, let's begin with a letter from our little friend Aryan...

Mobile Mania

"Hi, I'm a 10-year-old boy from Baroda. I love watching cartoons and playing games on my mummy's mobile phone. But for the past few weeks, she hasn't been letting me use it much. She says I'm getting addicted to it and that it's not good for me. But I really enjoy games and cartoons - they make me so happy! Why is it bad for me? And how can I convince my mummy to let me use the mobile as much as I want?"

- Aryan

Dear Aryan,

Hiii champ!

First of all, thank you for writing to us - you're super smart and brave to share your feelings!

We totally get it - cartoons are super fun and mobile games are full of excitement! Zoom! Bang! Yay!  Even grown-ups love them sometimes! So yes, it's okay to enjoy them.

But… here's a secret not many people tell you:

Too much screen time can quietly steal away your energy, your focus , and even your sleep! It can make your eyes tired, your brain confused, and your mood a bit grumpy (even if you don't notice right away). That's why your mummy is being a superhero  - she wants to protect your mind, your body, and your happy heart!

Imagine eating only chocolate all day - yummy at first, but then? Bellyache! No energy! Same with mobile time.

How about this idea?

Ask your mummy to give you a "fun-time slot" - like 30 or 40 minutes a day just for your games or cartoons.

After that, challenge yourself to go outside and play something real - running, cycling, cricket, or even hide-and-seek with friends. That kind of fun is WOW for your body and brain!

Also… when you play outdoor games, your mummy will see how active and happy you are - and she might even reward you with a little extra cartoon time once in a while!

So don't worry, Aryan - no one is trying to take your joy away. We're just helping you keep it safe and balanced… like a superhero with two powers: one on screen, and one in the real world!

Big hugs, lots of cheer, and a high-five!

From,

Uncle Fix-It
