I n the bustling, crowded galiyan of Chandni Chowk, lived a boy named Ansh. He was a soul of pure kindness who lived happily, unbothered by the complexities of the world, believing firmly in the equality of all people.

One day, with his birthday approaching, Ansh asked his father to invite every single one of his relatives and friends for a grand celebration. However, as the day arrived, the stress of upcoming college exams took over. Ansh completely forgot it was his birthday. When he returned home from college, the house was dark. Suddenly, the lights flashed on, and a thunderous shout of "Happy Birthday!" echoed through the halls. In that moment, all his academic stress and tension evaporated. He was overwhelmed with joy.

However, as he looked around the room during the party, he noticed something strange. He pulled his father aside and whispered, "Papa, I asked you to invite everyone. Why are there so few people here?" His father smiled calmly. "I did invite them all, but I gave them a different reason for the gathering."

"What reason?" Ansh asked, puzzled.

"I told everyone that we were facing a severe financial crisis," his father explained. "I said that if anyone truly cared for us and wanted to help, they should come to our house at 8:00 PM tonight to offer what they could." Ansh looked at his father, confused. "But why would you do that, Papa?"

"Let me finish, my dear child," his father replied gently. "The people you see in this room are the ones who were willing to stand by us when they thought we had nothing. These are your true friends and your real family. The others only cared for the celebration, not for us."

"Why didn't I think of that?" Ansh asked.

"Because you are kind-hearted," his mother said, joining them. "You see the best in everyone, but you haven't yet seen the ways of the material world. Everything has its light and its shadow. Now, you finally know who truly belongs in your life."

Ansh felt a deep sense of clarity. He stepped forward and hugged both his parents tightly, finally understanding the true value of the people standing in that room.

Real relationships are not defined by who celebrates your success, but by who stands beside you during your most difficult times.
