Hovercraft: Giving the thrill of a sea journey

Upon hearing the name 'Hovercraft', an image of a ship gliding like a snake over sea water comes to mind. The thrilling hovercraft journey completed fifty years in the year 2009. In these five decades, the hovercraft became everyone's favorite vehicle for sea travel. Let's take a look at the history of the hovercraft, which has provided thrilling journeys not for ten or twenty, but for fifty years.
The credit for inventing this amazing vehicle must go to British engineer Christopher Cockerell. After seven years of tireless hard work, Christopher made a hovercraft named SR.N1, in which four people could travel.
As a result of his precious discovery, the British government gave Christopher the title of 'Sir' in 1969. Christopher Cockerell passed away on June 1, 1999, in Hampshire, Britain, at the age of 89.
The world's largest hovercraft museum is located in Hampshire itself. A hovercraft does not just run on water. You may know that there are hovercrafts that run on sand and ice too. Hovercrafts are also very useful for military operations and rescue work. People load entire cars onto hovercrafts and enjoy sea journeys. Here, 60 other hovercrafts, including the SR.N4, have been kept.
