Protest on in Patna pressing for Kislay's release

PATNA, JANUARY 25 (AGENCIES)Protests continued for the second day on Tuesday for the release of Kisalay, a student of the Delhi Public School in Patna with students offering relay fast and prayers even as the bandh called by the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad against the abduction evoked little response in the state capital.

Students from various private schools, including DPS and DAV public schools, offered mass prayers on their campuses, while a group of 15 students continued its relay fast at DAV school in Patel Nagar seeking immediate recovery of Kisalay, who remained traceless for the seventh day on Tuesday.

Students had on Monday organised yajnas and havans for the release of Kisalay and urged President APJ Abdul Kalam to intervene for his recovery.

The students have decided to boycott cultural programmes on Republic Day and gherao the Raj Bhavan on January 28 if Kisalay is not recovered by then.
