35 feared killed in Maharashtra stampede

NEW DELHI, JANUARY 25 (AGENCIES)
Thousands of pilgrims panicked during a religious procession in Maharashtra on Tuesday, triggering a stampede that killed at least 35 people, according to reports reaching here.
However, Satara superintendent of police Chandrakant was quoted by the media as saying that about 10 people had died, and many more had been injured.
