Shiv Kapur swings to victory in Surya Nepal Masters

KATHMANDU, DECEMBER 14 (AGENCIES)India's Shiv Kapur lifted the Surya Nepal Masters 2004 golf title after an exciting three-way playoff on the final day of the championship.

Kapur, who won the Asian Games gold as an amateur, sank a 35-foot birdie putt to win the thrilling play-off Sunday and pocket Rs 162,000 in the Amby Valley PGAI Tour event played at the Gokarna Forest Golf Resort.

In the play-off, Kapur took the honours on the par-3 tenth, but left his nine-iron 35 feet short.
