KPS Gill to decide Rach's future on Tuesday

NEW DELHI, DECEMBER 14

Indian hockey team coach Gerhard Rach said today any decision about his association with the squad would be taken only after his meeting with Indian Hockey Federation president KPS Gill on Tuesday.

Rach, who returned to Delhi along with the team which finished fourth in the just concluded Champions Trophy in Pakistan, said he was scheduled to meet Gill anytime on Tuesday and nothing could be said about his future course till the meeting was over.

Asked to comment on the reports that the Government and the IHF were not happy with his performance, the German said it was unfortunate that such issues were discussed in public when they were trying to build a team for the future.

"It is unfortunate that when we all are trying to build a team for the future, such comments were coming in the media. These issues should be talked about behind closed doors and not in public," he told reporters at the Indira Gandhi International Airport.
