BJP to raise security, economic issues in ParliamentNEW DELHI, AUGUST 17 (AGENCIES) Gearing up to corner the UPA government in Parliament, the BJP on Tuesday decided to raise various issues related to national security and economic situation and seek its answers during the three-week post-recess Budget Session. The Parliamentary Party of the BJP met here for an hour to discuss its strategy in the House. It decided to raise the issues of Manipur, 'tainted' Ministers, rise in inflation and reduction in EPF interest rates. Emphasising that the situation in Manipur was a "matter of concern", Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Sushma Swaraj told reporters after the meeting that her party would seek to know from the government the steps taken by it to deal with the situation. "The developments, like those being witnessed in Manipur, are occurring after a long time in the North East," she said, pointing at the hoisting of their flags by separatists in Manipur on the Independence Day. On BJP's strategy, she said it would decide its future course of action after Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil made a statement in the Rajya Sabha.
