Top seeds advance in city chess tourney

Ahmedabad, Dec. 23: All top players had an easy day on the first day of the XVII National Under-13 Chess Tournament underway at Rajpath Club.

Gujarat’s Kajari Chowksi is among the four girls who have managed to win both their games. The other girls who have secured 2 points are Priya Rathav, Saba Mahati and Lakshmi Pranitha.

It was the same story in the boy’s section too. The top players won their respective games securing maximum points. Sai Srinivas, K.S. Srikar, K. Vijaykeerti, Adabala Deep and Soumya Thakurta all have 2 points from their two games. (IPNS)
